‘Collision’ boxing presscon this am

-

The key combatants of the explosive “Collision at the Coliseum” fight card are expected to trade verbal jabs in the news conference arranged by international promoter Sammy “Don King” Gello-ani at 10 am today at the GV Tower along corner Sanciangko Street and Osmeña Boulevard, this city.

In the main event of the eight-bout show set this Saturday evening at the Cebu Coliseum, the undefeated Ciso “Kid Terrible” Morales (11-0, 7KOs), will take on Thai Narongnoi Or Muangklang (9-1, 5KOs) in a 12-round war for the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental jr featherweight championship.

The Australia-based Ranee “K.O. Kid” Ganoy and former world title challenger Bert “Ninja” Batawang make up the slambang triple-header that will surely thrill Cebuano boxing fans to the bones.

Ganoy (21-10, 20KOs) will collide with another Thai visitor, Sapapetch Sor Sakaorat (13-4, 8KOs), while Batawang (47-7, 36KOs), who once reigned as the WBA Pan-African light flyweight titlist, will slug it out with Benjie Soralla (22-13-3, 6KOs).

The rest of the equally-exciting undercards feature Balweg “Davao Hitman” Bangoyan (11-0, 7KOs) against Phil Angcamor of Cagayan de Oro City (14-5-2), Jonghwa Lee of South Korea (5-0, 1KO) versus CDO’s Brian Diano, Pol Apolinario of Saranggani Province opposite Jason Layson of Manila, Marvin “Marvelous” Sensona of CDO against Jerome Buntog of Mandaue City and Chum “Warrior” Sedillo of Dumaguete City versus Jerry Pahal of Cebu City.

Tickets of the slambang event bankrolled by SGG Sports Promotions in partnership with Viva Sports, Tanduay Rhum and Pioneer Elasto Seal are now on sale at P100 for upperbox, P200 for lower box, P300 for ringside and P500 for VIP/Sponsor. – EBV
