Alta Vista Golf & Country Club: The View Invitational tees off on Thursday
The View Invitational 2008 tees off Thursday at the par-72 Alta Vista Golf and Country Club carved on the hills of Pardo, this city.
The four-day tournament is a two-man team event where participants will play 36 holes.
The View Invitational is the club’s annual member-guest tournament and this year, it has drawn about 400 participants.
Entry fee has been pegged at P2,500 per player of P5,000 per team. Each participant will get a pair of Adidas golf shoes.
Unfortunately for those who would still like to join the tournament, but haven’t registered, all slots have been filled up.

At stake for a hole-in-one are a Kia Picanto, a Club Car golf cart, P200,000 cash, a lot from Sta. Lucia Realty, a class A share from Aznar Bros., a trip to
Max Tan of Water Boss said that in case nobody will win the water softener worth P65,000, it will be raffled off during Sunday’s awards ceremony at the AVGCC clubhouse.
A Skygo motorcycle is also up for grabs for an eagle on all par-4 holes.
At stake in the tournament will be trophies and prizes for the teams with the best gross and net scores.
There will also be prizes for the top three teams per handicap category based on their net scores.
The tournament will be using the Modified Stableford Scoring System and players will be allowed to use only three-fourths of their June handicap.
