Conde tops fourth leg of MS Motosuit series

-

Ted Conde, the most decorated motocross rider of Ozamiz City, did not hesitate to race in the experts division this time. His gutsy move paid off so well.

Conde outshone the rest of the best to top the sixth leg of the 2008 MS Motosuit Motocross Series billed as the “4th Mayor Mariano Martinez Cup” last Sunday in San Remigio.

Conde, racing under the wings of Castrol-Quickflight Team, edged out  reigning MS Motosuit Rider of the Year Jovanni Abellar of Powersport Racing for the title. CQT skipper Pepo Rubi settled for third.

Glenn “D’ King” Aguilar, on the other hand, stole part of the show after missing the action in the experts division due to some glitch at the starting grid.

Wielding his motocross flair and spectacular aerial stunts, Aguilar went on to win the pro division, which was again contested for only a single heat due to scattered rainshowers.

John-John Adlawan also of PSR took the second spot followed by Irwin Uypitching.

Despite failing to grab the pro crown, Adlawan still took home a champion’s trophy through the intermediate class. Castrol-Quickflight’s Conde landed at second place, while Clark Wagas wound up third.

Another CQT rider, Keith Babano Galaura, claimed the mini class title against Martin Nunez, while Keiz BJ’s Seigfred Ornopia topped the executive A anew after defeating Gener Sicad and Jun Enriquez.

Andy Krickle and Bryan Thomason, on the other hand, lorded it over in the executive C and B, respectively.

Ayen Ledesma, for his part, outmaneuvered Donkey Sanchez and Bonnie Bustillo to reign supreme in the novice open enduro. He settled for second in the beginners production behind Christopher Voss.

Still, Sanchez has something to be happy about as he dominated the local enduro category over Bustillo as Alex Abalo.

Rex Barbaso completed the champion’s list by topping the novice open production in the event supported by Imarflex Battery Manufacturing, Castrol Power One, 888 Headercore Mufler Tech, Access Plus, Cebu Progress Marketing, Cebu Reliance Motorparts, Keiz BJ Motorsales, RMO Motorparts, Gaib Fork Oil, and f&fo Motorparts. – Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
