AVGCC jungolfers dominate Vis-Min circuit

Players from Alta Vista Golf and Country Club (AVGCC) had a bountiful harvest last week in the Jungolf Vis-Min Circuit played at the Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro City and the Del Monte Golf Club in Bukidnon.

Edsel Tan topped class A of the boys’ division during the Del Monte leg played last April 22 and 23.

Gio Gandiongco also took home a championship trophy when he ruled class C of the boys’ division.

Irina Gabasa finished as 1st runner-up in class B for girls while Emy Lou Tan, Edsel’s sister was the runner-up for class C of the girls’ division.

Over at Pueblo de Oro last April 24 and 25, Gabas ruled class B of the girls’ category while Gandiongco scored back to back championships in class C for boys.

Emy Lou Tan once again finished as runner-up in girls’ class C and Wei-wei Gao was runner-up for class E of the girls’ division.

The other members of the team were Horace Acas, John Philip Hernandez, Jacinto Velez III, Annika Yeo, and Wei Yu Gao.

The members of the Jungolf committee that accompanied the players were Joseph Gandiongco, Deo Gabasa, Carl Almario, and club GM Tessa Ozoa.—NLQ
