Tsuneishi edges Lear to rule ECCP bootfest
After almost sweeping its six matches with five wins and a draw, Team Tsuneishi emerged as champion in the 1st European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP) Soccer Cup 2008 last Sunday at the Cebu International School (CIS)field in Brgy. Talamban, this city.

Tsuneishi eased into the final round with a 3-0 shutout of Detalia Aurora Warriors, while Lear booked the remaining final ticket by beating People Support, 1-0.
Tsuneishi and Lear employed stifling defense right from the start resulting into a scoreless draw at halftime.
In the second half, Poso stepped up bigtime to deliver the game-winner for Tsuneishi.
The victory of the Tsuneishi booters was more meaningful because they vanquished the veteran Lear players even though they are just first timers in the sport.
In the other game, the Detalia Aurora Warriors triumphed over People Support, 2-1, via penalty shootout to claim the third place honors.
