Fil-Australian tanker sizzles anew at the pool

Fil-Australian tanker Hazel Son sizzled anew at the pool, clocking in one minute and 28.96 seconds to win the gold in the 100m long course breaststroke event of the 2008 Swimming WA Junior Championships held last April 5-6 at the Challenge Stadium in Perth, Australia.      

The 10-year-old Son snatched one gold, three silvers, and one bronze in five events she participated.

Representing the Aquajets Swimming Club, Son took silver medals in the 100m LC freestyle with a time of 1:12.70, the 200m LC freestyle with a 2:37.50 clocking and the 100m LC backstroke at 1:21.09.

She settled for bronze in the 100m LC butterfly event with the time of 1:23.40. (GGM)
