Siso, Lagman reach Truflex tennis final

Cebu’s Sally Mae Siso and Jacob Lagman got past separate opponents in convincing fashion to clinch final berths in their respective divisions in the 2008 Truflex Age-Group Tennis Championships yesterday at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex tennis courts in Manila.

Sally Mae sent Marinel Rudas packing with a decisive 6-1, 6-2 victory in the girls 14-under category. She will go up next against either Sam Coyiuto or Akiko de Guzman in the gold medal round.

Like Sally Mae, Lagman also kept his sizzling run, this time with a 6-1, 6-1 whipping of Rafael Squelantini to book a championship ticket in the boys 14-under. Up next for Lagman is either Arjun de la Cruz or Jurence Mendoza. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
