Top Pinoy cue artists in Cebu for 1st Magnificent Seven 9-ball tourney

Some of the country’s high-profile cue artists will flock to Cebu for the 1st Magnificent Seven Invitational National Qualifier, which will fire off today at the billiards hall of Bravio Sports and Restaurant along A.S. Fortuna Street, Mandaue City.

Seven top-caliber players will vie for the championship of this cash-rich 9-ball tilt namely Lee Van Corteza, Gandy Valle, William Chua, Ricky Zerna, Dexter Arbineda, Cebu’s Ronnie Aying, and the Cebu-based American national Michael Hilton.

The participants will compete in a single round robin format. Games will be played from 3 pm onwards.

The champion will gain an outright slot into the Magnificent Seven Grand Finals scheduled sometime this December.

Bravio Sports and Restaurant will be hosting the Magnificent Seven tournaments every other two weeks. The winners will go up against each other in the Magnificent Seven Finals.

The other top cuemasters expected to join the contest are Efren “Bata” Reyes, Francisco “Django” Bustamante, Ronnie “Volcano” Alcano, and Alex “The Lion” Pagulayan.

Each player is assessed with a P50,000 registration fee, but the one who will emerge as champion will pocket a whopping P300,000 in cash prize.
