Barako,  Express gun for win no.2

-

Fired up Red Bull and Air21 seek to ride the crest of its opening game victories as the two collide today with hopes of coming out of a heavy five-way logjam on top with Sta. Lucia, Purefoods and Coca-Cola in the Smart PBA Fiesta Conference at the Araneta Coliseum.

Junthy Valenzuela will still suit up for the Barako in  their 7:20 p.m. game against the Express in what could be his last game with the team since there were reports that he would be traded to the Brgy. Ginebra Kings for shooter Sunday Salvacion.

“He (Valenzuela) will still play for Red Bull tomorrow (today),” said Danny Espiritu.

The Barako trounced the Kings, 89-83, while the Express walloped the Dragons, 105-96, Sunday at the Big Dome to set in motion their respective campaigns.

The Talk N’ Text Pals, in contrast, dropped a 79-87 decision to the Coca-Cola Tigers in Saturday’s opener in Davao and would be shooting for their first win against the Dragons at 4:50 pm.
