Time Out cage clinic starts April 2

-

The Time Out Summer Basketball Clinic set to start on April 2 at the Cebu Coliseum is another alternative for aspiring hoopters to further hone up their skills, according to training camp director Rex Salvaña.

The two-month clinic, which is open to both boys and girls hardcourt hopefuls, consists of two levels:the beginners for seven to 12 years old players and the advanced for 13 to 17 years old basketeers.

The first batch of training will be held from April 2 to May 2, while the second batch is slated from May 2 to June 2. Training sessions will be from 8 to 10 a.m. for the beginners and from 10 a.m. to 12nn for the advanced campers.

Entry fee is pegged at only P1,000 inclusive of a basketball and training uniform. For registration and other inquiries, one may call/text 0921-6098491 or 0916-4534639.

To ensure quality training, Salvaña, who once served as Cebu Gems assistant coach in the now defunct Metropolitan Basketball Association (MBA), has hired the services of topnotch coaches to assist him in running the clinic.

They are Reggie Licanda, the current head coach of the University of Cebu (UC) Junior Webmasters, Opel Abellana, presently the chief bench tactician of the University of San Carlos (USC)-South Campus, and former pro star Teroy Albarillo. – EBV
