Lite Trading spills 100 Plus Isotonic Drink
Cebu Lite Trading needed only a second half surge to spill 100 Plus Isotonic Drink, 82-62, in its maiden game in the 2008 Vic Enterprises Invitational Cup basketball tournament yesterday at the CEC gym.
From a 40-32 lead at halftime, Lite Trading opened the third period with a 10-2 run to put the game beyond reach, 50-34. Overall in that stretch, Lite Trading outscored 100 Plus Isotonic Drink, 28-8, to mount an imposing 68-40 bulge going into the final 10 minutes of play.
The presence of 6-foot-5 center Elmer de la Cruz, a former SWU Cobra, a slippery guard Lito Navarro, who once played with the CPC Hawks, Lite Trading of playing coach Boy Te was never threatened the rest of the way.
All players fielded in by Te scored led by Jared Magdales with 15 points. Burly forward James Lloyd “Jimbo” Noel banged in 10 markers, while Te’s son Franco chipped in eight markers and Navarro seven.
