Supersavers, Nuggets win in Robinson’s hoop

Supersavers-Banilad and Nuggets thrashed separate foes at th start of the 1st Robinson’s Supermarket Basketball Tournament at the Visayas Glass Gym in Brgy. Guadalupe, this city.

Fidel Cabigas exploded with 30 points to power Supersavers-Banilad to a 51-40 whacking of the Falcons, while Francisco Bacalso and Manolit Iligan each fired 13 points to power the Nuggets to a 52-39 triumph over the Astig Bulls.

It was a triple celebration for Supersvaers-Banilad as it bagged the Best in Uniform trophy and oits scoring machine Cabigas ruled the 3-point shootout.

Despite the setback, the Astig Bulls still has something to cheer about as its bet Michel Unibia romped away with the Best Muse award.
