Cherifer caging registration ends today

Britt Carlo Reroma, the Cebu leg organizer of the Cherifer Tangkad Sagad 12-Under basketball tournament, has reminded all participating coaches that they’re given only until today to submit their respective lineups.

Reroma said this is being done so they can formulate the groupings as early as possible before the March 1 competition at the Don Bosco covered courts in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

Reroma is expecting the number of entries to reach 24 teams this year. Last year, the event attracted only 17 teams.

Among the new teams which already confirmed its participation are Cebu Eastern College, St. Alphonsus Catholic School (SACS) of Lapu-Lapu City, St. Anthony Learning Center, Immaculate Heart of Mary School, San Roque Learning Center of Liloan, Cebu, Sirlitz Clinic, and Danao Sports Commission-Time Out.

Almost a year ago, USC-North Campus of coach Roland Remedio beat Don Bosco in the final to rule the inaugural edition of the annual tilt. (GGM)
