Phone Pals slip past M. Lhuillier in friendly
The taller Talk ‘N Txt Phone Pals asserted its supremacy over M. Lhuillier Jewelers last night at the Cebu Coliseum.
Trailing most of the game, the Phone Pals struck late in the fourth period for a 101-97 victory before a noisy Cebuano crowd in an exhibition game for city’s Charter Day celebration.

The victory was the first for debuting Coach Chot Reyes who flashed a smile while heading towards the Jewelers’ bench to shake hands with the players.
With the game tied at 97, Peek scored on a mini hook with over a minute to go then Allado scored off a jumper from a well-designed play for the final count.

It was obvious from the start that the Phone Pals were holding their shots and wanted to please the crowd. They trailed 4-15 in first quarter, 48-51 in the second canto and were still down 74-79 at the end of the third period.
The Phone Pals started to flex their muscles in the final period answering a 13-0 rally by the Jewelers with a 14-2 run of their own.
After Peek made it 99-97, the Jewelers had the chance to tie or take the lead but Woodrow Enriquez stepped on the line in trying to retrieve a loose ball.
