Bosconians bag titles in Founder’s Day bootfest

The Don Bosco booters clinched two championship titles in the 54th Don Bosco Founder’s Day Football Festival the other day at the Don Bosco Seminary fields.

Don Bosco-D bagged the Players 8 title after overpowering Don Bosco-E, 4-2. For his impressive performance, Thomas Glenn Ramos was declared as the Most Valuable Player.

The Players 12 crown also went into the custody of Don Bosco as it beat Sacred Heart School-Jesuit, 1-0, courtesy of Gabriel de Leon’s goal.  Andone Ugarte, however, was honored as MVP.

In the other games, Cebu International School (CIS) topped the Players 10 class after defeating DB-A, 2-1, while St. Dominique Football Club eked out a 2-1 victory over DB-Magone to rule the Players 7 category.

Hiroshi Sato romped away with the MVP honors in the Players 10, while Vince Abastas bagged the same award in the Players 7. — Marigold P. Lebumfacil
