Ugang bounces back in Sinulog dartsfest

Wyno Ugang bounced back from a disappointing doubles loss and vented his ire on little-known Duke Omega to capture the singles title of Baseline Sinulog Open Darts Tournament at the Baseline Restaurant and Recreation Center.

Ugang was too much for Omega as he stamped his class on the latter. Jerome Perales took third place after besting Alvin Villa.

Earlier, Ugang and Boboy Manlunas wasted a twice-to-beat advantage and were beaten by Roy Laude and Marlito Patunob in the doubles title game.

Allan Bejuna and Steve Montenegro finished third after beating the pair of Brian Gabuya and William Encorporado.

The fifth to eighth placers in the doubles event, sponsored by Baseline and the Cebu City Niños Darters, were Eugene Manaquit and Wennie Ocañada, Dino Bacayo and Junex Perez, Ronnie Campomanes and Raymund Solas and Jun Navales together with Rick-Rick Calma. –Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
