Caecent No-ot Magsumbol, The Freeman’s sportswriter, won for the second time, the MS Motosuit Motocross Series Writer of the Year award during the awards ceremony of the 2007 Motocross Series at the Cebu Grand Convention Center, this city.
Magsumbol, just like last year, was cited for her consistent and undying support for the motocross racing sport.
Among the riders, Jabannie Abellar tops this year’s awardees after taking the Rider of the Year plum.
The other awardees were John Flores for the (mini division), Ayen Ledesma (open enduro and beginner’s open production), Andot Rubi (executive A), Seigfred Ornopia (executive B), Paulo Inoc (novice open production) and Donkey Sanchez (local enduro).
Andot Rubi won the raffle for a unit of Crypton motorcycle donated by Keiz BJ’s Seigfred Ornopia.
Aside from the top performers of the 2007 edition, the sportswriters and other companies, who had supported the MS Motosuit Series, were also given plaques of appreciation.
Nimrod NL Quiñones, managing editor of The FREEMAN and commissioner of the Cebu City Sports Commission, led the guest list. The event was organized by Lou Ornopia.
