Local running buffs and some visitors will hit the streets early this morning for the Sugbu Marathon 2008 starting and ending at the Asia Town IT Park in Bry. Lahug, this city.
Around 1,500 footracers are expected to compete in this half-marathon since the event only covers 21-kilometer as the farthest distance.
There will also be competition under the 3K and 6K divisions.
Drs. Peter Mancao and Yong Larrazabal, who competed in last year’s New York Marathon, will be among the top runners to watch in the doctors’ category.
There will also be executives class, team competition, the all-MEPZ employees division and kiddie’s run.
Proceeds of the event will be for the benefit of the Mana Ministry.
The technical support for the race is provided by the Cebu Road Runners Club, Sight First Running Club, and CSI-Cebu.
