Some Cebuano triathletes and cyclists will showcase their wares in the Province of Leyte via the Pedal Power III in Maasin City today.
Although there is also a racer contest scheduled for today here, the organizers of the event are counting on the participation of the Cebuanos just like in its first two editions.
The Maasin tilt features triathlon, mountainbiking and racer competitions. Each discipline will have different divisions.
The inaugural staging of the triathlon competition will have the men and women’s open.
The road race will have the open and class B, while the mountainbike criterium will have the beginners, masters and veterans.
Close to P50,000 in cash prizes await the top performers of the three-in-one event organized by Emie Paulo and sponsored by Governor Remedios Petilla and the fiesta committee of Maasin in partnership with Pepsi and Nature’s Spring. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
