‘Shockwave’ unfolds tonight at Cebu Coliseum

The Cebuanos brace themselves for swashbuckling mixed martial arts and kickboxing fights as the fourth installment of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Martial Arts Federation’s Ground & Pound billed as “Shockwave” unfolds today at 7:00 in the evening at the Cebu Coliseum.

“Just like in my previous fights, I’ll try to stop him in the first round,” Alcer “D Master of Disaster” Lozada warned his Cebuano opponent Ryan “The Real Deal” Solana.

Lozada, the undefeated fighter from Butuan City’s Mindanao Top Team, will go up against Solana of Lapu-Lapu City’s Yaw-Yan Musang in the main event of the Mixed Martial Arts action scheduled for three rounds under the 70-kilogram division.

“That’s what he thinks. I’m fighting here in my territory and I have no other thing in my mind than winning,” replied Solana to the undermining statement of Lozada.

Another exciting Cebuano fighter to watch out for is Engie “The Destroyer” Piloto, the pride of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu, who will square off against Leo “Thunder” Filisan of CDO’s Mindanao Unified Martial Arts.

In the other MMA showdown, Maxlito “Hyper Eagle” Yong of Yaw-Yan Musang tangles with Eugene “The Brawler” Yunque of Bacolod Fight Club, Cesar “Alamid” Yap tackles Erwin “The Bomber Man” Neri of CDO’s FKR Philippines, and Elmer “D Hammer” Jandayan of Bohol Sagravate Pit Fighting Society mixes it up with Butuan’s Alan “D Game Plan” Atup.

The rest of the bouts feature Jovito “Young Hercules” Abellana of Calma Stable versus Charlie Belle “The Steelman” Castro, Vicvic “The Jet” Gesta against Steve “The Wild” Sevilleno, Eric “Baki” Areglado of LLC’s C-Mac Mix opposite Greg “Anaconda” Gesta, Dondon Gesta of C-Mac Kickboxing Club against Randy “The Grappler” Morres, and Raffy “The Hawk” Tuñacao of Soma KC versus Steven “The Muma Boy” Lagbas.

In the slambang kickboxing event, James “Bisayas” Dabon of Yaw-Yan ArDigma Cebu battles Freddierick “Jehovah Nissi” Amparado in the main attraction.

In the undercards, Argel “The Phantom” Oppus of Mandaue’s Arcomjukai KC faces Dexter “Buakaw” Melon of Dumaguete Muay Thai, Jimuel “The Conqueror” Naigie of Arcomjukai clashes with Marjun “The Muma Warrior” Poriento, and Nicanor “The Energizer” Leonardo of Talisay City’s Black Scorpion KC collides with Leo “The Golden Boy” Gearlan of Yaw-Yan Musang.

To beef up the action-packed show, a special attraction in the women’s category has been lined up featuring the grudge rematch between Nova

“The Heartbreaker” Dinolan of Mandaue’s ATC Kickboxing Club and Alchiene “Lady” Yosores of CDO’s Mindanao Unified Martial Arts.
