Explosive double-header as Inner-City caging continues

Two games topbill today’s action in the 1st Inter-City Basketball Challenge.

The Cebu City Niños host the rampaging Bogo City Bogoys at the Inayawan Sports Complex while the Talisay Aquastars play the Danao Pistols in Talisay.

The Niños hopes to win big today after two close wins against Talisay on November 30 where they won 73-71 and on November 17, where they edged the Aquastars, 96-94.

The Niños will rely on guard Butong Villanueva and hope that he can match Bogoy’s star guard Jun Ace Ursal, who is fast earning the reputation as the league’s best scorer.

The Niños seek its second win while the Bogo Bogoys will try to nail down their third win. The Aquastars and Danao Pistols, who are both toting a 1-2 record, play for their second win at each other’s expense.

League leader Lapu-Lapu Chiefs is idle with a 4-1 record.
