The University of the Visayas goes for its third straight victory when the football competition of CESAFI resumes today at the University of San Carlos Technological Center in Talamban, this city.
The match at 3 p.m. features two former champions. UV won the crown in 2005 while USJ-R had dominated collegiate football in since for a long time and last won the title in 2004.
So far, UV is on top of the standing with six points from two its two wins. USJ-R is second with three points with 1-0-1 win-draw-loss card.
Spicing up the match is the game between the University of Cebu and University of Southern Philippines Foundation. UC has to win this particular match to stay in the tournament. That would, however, be easier said than done because UC will be without a key player in Daryl Tan who was red carded last week.
