Pau de Arco wins two in Lhuillier softball

Pau de Arco won a double header to open its bid in the 3rd M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Invitational Softball Tournament at the San Roque ballpark, Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Pau de Arco started with a 7-4 victory over the Isle of Man and then came up with an 8-1 win against the defending champion M. Lhuillier Sports and Development Foundation (MLSDF).

Pau de Arco now leads the pack with a 2-0 win-loss slate.

Felix Custodio, who trained with the national team in Manila, pitched for Pau de Arco. He teamed up with Joel Babatid and Genaro Macayan to give Pau de Arco its victory over Isle of Man.

In the afternoon, Pau de Arco scored three runs in the first inning, then scored two more runs in the third and fifth, and another run in the last inning to frustrate MLSDF. Barry Dignos scored MLSDF’s lone run in the fifth.
