Abrenica chalks up first win in Talisay cage tilt

Abrenica Engineering edged Team Firefly, 68-66, to score its first win in the open division of the 2007 Talisay Mayor’s Cup basketball tournament at the Talisay City Sports Complex.

Abrenica relied on the trio of Diosdado Iglamo, Albert and Jerome Villaver, to squeeze out of a tight game with Team Firely. The trio combined for 48 points to help their team take a hard-earned victory after two defeats.

Earlier, Poblacion I pounded San Roque, 80-70, in the seniors division.

In the Sangguniang Kabataan action, Dumlog won without breaking a sweat when Lawaan 3-A did not show up.
