Encorporado keeps lead in CDA qualifying

-

William Encorporado stayed on top of the heap in the qualifying round that will determine Cebu’s entries to National Invitational Darts Tournament later this year in Cabadbaran, Agusan.

Encorporado leads the pack after topping the first two of the three events at the Baseline Restaurant and Recreation Center.

Winnie Ocañada won the latest outing after defeating Jomar Amerol. Freddie Granada and Jeffrey Cruz got the third and fourth places, respectively.

A day before the singles’ action, Ocañada ruled the doubles event together with Granada. They beat the tandem of Wayno Ugang and Allan Veloso, while Roy Laude and Lemuel Tojong finished third.

Meanwhile, the Cebu Darts Association Incorporated (CDAI) is grieving the death of its president Dennis Tan due to cancer of the throat. He was 50.

Tan’s body lies at Rolling Hills Funeral Homes. He will be laid to his final resting place on Saturday at the Manila Memorial Gardens in Lilo-an. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
