The Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) executive board unanimously picked Prospero Pichay as its chairman during the election last Friday at the Max’s Restaurant in SM Manila.
FESSAP speaks well of true representation of associations with 95 afilliate members all over the country.
Elected along with Pichay were different school sports officials including Ramon Bacani and Dr. Medrasno, who were recognized as ex-oficio members of FESSAP representing the Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED), respectively.
Cebu sports patron and businessman Lorenzo Chao Sy, who is also the BAP-Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) Cebu Province director, was elected as FESSAP vice president for the Visayas.
Attending the FESSAP executive board meeting and election presided over by Teresita Abundo of National Capital Region Athletic Association (NCRAA) as FESSAP president with Robert Milton Calo of PISCUAA as executive vice president with concurrent position as secretary-general.
The other three vice presidents are Mr. Roberto Tamayo (NCR), Francisco Viola (Luzon) and Dra. Shirley Lim ( Mindanao ). Engr. Jedel Agron was elected as treasurer and Dr. Diosdado Amante as auditor. The legal counsel is Romeo Vicente. (GGM)
