LWCM in grudge rematch vs. PC Nets in CNetsBL final

-

It will be a grudge rematch of sort in the finals between the Living Word Christian Ministry (LWCM-Aces) and Praise Cathedral (PC) Nets for the 2007 CNetsBL Summer Conference crown after they thrashed their respective foes in last week’s crossover semifinals at the IBC Gym in Banawa, this city.

The PC Nets advanced into the championship round following a 107-51 rout of CitiChurch, while the LWCM-Aces booked the remaining finals ticket in a more impressive manner, posting 61-point massacre of the Pardo Baptist Conference Church (PBCC), 124-63.

This will be the second titular showdown between the two inter-church titans since the tournament started in December last year. Both also boast of one title across their names.

The Aces of coach Al Solis finished the elimination round with a clean 5-0 record followed by the PC Nets with a 4-1 win-loss slate.

Ronnie Miro led all scorers for PC Nets with 18 markers, while former USJ-R Baby Jaguar TJ Caparros and Marlon Rodriguez paced the Aces with 19 points apiece. The game was so lopsided as eight Aces players submitted double figures.

Prior to today’s championship game, the CitiChurch will take on PBCC for the third place honors.
