The 2nd M.Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Invitational Softball Tournament is far from over, but a very exciting battle is expected today as league front-runners Salazar College of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT) clash head-on at the Ouano ballfield in Brgy. Looc, Mandaue City.
The SCSIT and Pusok batters presently share the lead in the seniors division with similar 2-0 win-loss records.
Whichever wins between SIT and Pusok will surely have an easier way to the final round.
SCSIT may be the slightly favored team due to its vast experience, but Pusok can’t be underestimated due to its fresher legs and quickness.
Another advantage for the Pusok mainstays is that SCSIT will take on the M. Lhuillier Sports Development Foundation (MLSDF) selection first before going up against them.
MLSDF is expected to give SCSIT a tough time with hopes of improving its 1-1-1 win-loss-draw record.
Meanwhile, Aldritz Liniment, which fought to a 1-all draw with MLSDF in its previous match, will try to barge into the win column when it takes on Carcar Royale.
Before the seniors action, two games in the juniors division will usher in the third playing date of the seven-week tournament organized by MLSDF executive director Eddie B. Ybañez. — Caecent No-ot Magsumbol
