Mr. & Ms. Philippines pre-judging today at Tambuli

The much-awaited Philippines Team selection for the 2007 Mr. & Ms. Asia Pacific unfolds this weekend with a pre-judging session this afternoon at the Tambuli Beach Resort Hotel.

The final night, on the other hand, will take place tomorrow at the University of San Carlos-South Campus Cultural Center.

More than a hundred bodybuilders from all over the country will join some and Filipinos from abroad are trying their luck in the event, which will have the international finals in Boracay.

Among the early favorites in the women’s division is the multi-titled Dwan Abantao.

According to event organizer Dennis Delgado, there are now 15 other female enthusiasts who will not only try to overshadow Abantao but were also wanting to represent the country in the international battle.

In the men’s side, all classes combined expect a hundred entries including Cebuano Don-Don Cortuna, Sam Solon, Boyet Andaca, Alvin Albino and Filipino-American bodybuilder Jerick Ternida.

One of Ternida’s big successes was in a competition in New York last year where he won the Musclemania class.

The event organized by Workout Fitness Center of Dennis Delgado and sanctioned by the Samahan ng mga Barbelista ng Pilipinas headed by its president Engr. Jun Tayag is co-presented by Lipovitan Amino Sports, Ensayo, Sungold, Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Ultimate Nutrition Store, Carangue Printing, D’Che Salon and Spa, Tambuli Resorts, Smooth FM, DYBN, Home Radio and Energy FM.

Aside from that, this exciting National selection is also supported by Omega Pain Killer, Nigi Nigi Too Boracay, Boracay Plaza Beach Resort, Kima Glass Supply, Ban’s Beach Resort Boracay, La Plage De Boracay, Jony’s Beach Resort Boracay, Bohol Plaza Resort, San Fort Safety Tours Rent A Car, Barbie Outfits and Boracay Courtyard along with Sunrise Holiday Mansion, New Placenta Soap, New Kan-Irag Hotel, Crustal Sand Beach Resort and Carreon’s Photo Engraving.
