The Lancers took a 46-26 lead at the half but the Panthers came close by eight points, 61-53, at the third quarter.
However, the comeback was short-lived when CDO came strong towards the end of the fourth behind Ritchum Dennison, who collected 13 points, highlighted by four triples.
Harlow Chad Villanil, who was donning the UC jersey last year, joined Dennison in the scoring fray along with Michael Luga and Bomber Sendrijas as the three of them combined for 26 points. With their outside scoring so effective, CDO was not even worried for Rino Berame's two-point contribution as they improved their win-loss record to 3-0, handling USPF its third straight defeat.
The only consistent player from USPF was Dominic Ceniza, who led the offense for the second straight game, topping with 24 points while Rodel Quinao added 17 points and Moncrif Rogado finished with 10 points.
Earlier, the VFI Hotdogs, owned by CESAFI commissioner Felix O. Tikinhoy Jr., chalked up its second straight victory as it handed Guardo-Don Bosco its second loss in three games.
Bobby Hatague scored 13 points to pace the Jaguars while Luther Justiniani and Armand Ponce each scored 12 points for VFI.
Ian Calooy topscored for Don Bosco with 15 points.
