Partner's Cup: UV-CDO Bibbo Hotdogs drub DBC-Guardo/ Arthro

There is nothing new for the University of the Visayas Green Lancers except their uniform, which now sports their corporate sponsor CDO Bibbo Hotdogs as they mercilessly routed the Don Bosco College-Guardo Arthro, 74-51 in the curtain raiser of the Partner's Cup basketball tournament yesterday at the Cebu Coliseum.

Although they appeared a little bit rusty during the first two quarters because of the long break after winning their sixth title in the CESAFI last September, the Lancers took the lead following a shot from Cris Victor Diputado, 33-32, at halftime.

The lead of the Lancers even ballooned to 19 points, 56-37, at 3:00 in the third period.

They never had a hard time in controlling the game even as Rino Berame scored only four points as Morsie Akad topscored with 16 points.

June Colegado, Jonathan Aldave and Richard Vargas all finished with nine points for Arthro, who never showed resistance again as early from the third period up to the final horn.
