SIT, SWU drub foes in VAAA caging

The Salazar institute of Technology (SIT) Skyblazers and the Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras scored contrasting victories yesterday in the Visayas Amateur Athletic Association (VAAA) played in Dumaguete City.

Still playing as of press time was the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors, who was eyeing to keep is record clean against host the Silliman University (SU) Stallions.

The Skyblazers of coach Jojo Romarete defeated the ACSAT Lightning, 79-73, while the Cobras of coach Dodie Miego escaped with a 65-63 win over the Foundation University Greyhounds.

The win improved the standing of the Skyblazers to 3-3 for a tie with their victim while the Cobras moved to solo third place at 4-1 behind the 5-0 Warriors and the 4-0 USJ-R Jagiuars.
