'Tour ni Frank' pedals today in Danao City

The 2006 Cebu RECYCLE-LUZVIMIN Cycling Championship also known as "Ang Tour ni Frank" reels off this morning in Danao City.
The race starts at 7:30 am, thus, riders are advised to go early at the kick off place, which is located at the crossing of Mayor Ramon "Nito" Durano III's house.
National triathlon team members, Arland Macaseib and Ani de Leon are among the contenders for the title.
According to RECYCLE's Dr. JV Araneta, there will also be some foreign pedal-pushers, who are set to join the event along with some riders from Samar.
Mayor Nito Durano and his nephew, Danao City councilor Oscar "Boying" Rodriguez, Jr. will also be joining.
The first leg of the two-part TnF will cover a total of 90 kilometers and not 140 km as earlier announced.
The massed-start-road-race will start in Danao going to Bogo and back.
The second leg, which is set tomorrow, will be a criterium at the Mandaue City Reclamation area.
This event spearheaded by the US-based Luzvimin Cycling Club led by Frank Gatdula in cooperation with the Reclamation Cycling Club (RECYCLE) of Mark Ylanan is supported by the local government of Danao City, Carmen and Catmon, Rocka, the no.1 bikeshop in Bulacan, Department of Tourism, Parklane Hotel and Pinoybikes.com.
