CEPCA to start 2007 tilt this Sunday

The Cebu Executives and Professional Chess Association (CEPCA) begins its monthly Kiddie's tournament for 2007 this Sunday at Bibo Chess Club in Jakosalem Street.
This Sunday's battle will be featuring two classes namely the 13-under and 16-under.
Players in the two divisions will be following the seven-round Swiss system format.
A 25-minute time control is set to finish a play.
In case of tie-breaks, it will be settled via direct encounter, Bucholz and or the median.
The champion in the event will be going home with P700 while the second placer gets P500 and P300 for the third placer.
The fourth finisher gets P200 and the fifth placer will go home with P100.
Aside from the cash prizes, the champion in the monthly battle will qualify for the final battle set in December.
The finals will be played on a single round robin.
