'Tour ni Frank' kicks off Jan. 20

The fifth edition of the annual Cebu RECYCLE-LUZVIMIN Cycling Championship also known as "Ang Tour ni Frank" will kick off on January 20 with tough rides going from Mandaue to Sogod, Tabuelan to Balamban and ending at Busay.
A total distance of 170 kilometers, including a climb of 3,500 feet with a 7 to 9 per cent gradient in some points, will be expected by the riders.
The competition proper will be taking place on the 27th with the Danao-Bogo-Danao massed start race.
The first of the two-part battle will be covering a total of 140 kilometers.
The King of the Mountain will also get an award aside from the top finishers in the road race.
The following day, riders will be competing in a criterium at the Mandaue City reclamation area.
A total cash prize of P35,0000 will be up for grabs.
The event will be for riders under class B and C only.
Aside from the individual honors, there will also be a team competition.
Each team will be composed of a minimum of three riders and maximum of five.
Teams with more than five riders will be split into two or more.
The event will also have a raffle draw for all the participants plus a free lunch to all registered pedal-pushers.
