Six teams to join national inter-church caging

A total of six teams will be joining in the National Inter-Church basketball tournament set January 28, 2007 at the Immanuel Bible Center (IBC) gym in Banawa.
CNetsBL Commissioner and coach Lawrence "Tata" Merced said one team from Manila, two from Mindanao and three from Cebu will compose the field which will be battling it out for the championship crown.
The Cebu representatives are the top three finishers in the recently concluded Christmas Conference namely champion LWCM-Aces and runners up Sonship of Jesus Christ and the Blessed Hope Christian Fellowship.
The LWCM-Aces of coach Al Solis defeated the Sonship of Jesus Christ to win the CNetsBL title only last week. Defending champion Praise Cathedral was eliminated.
After the finals, the CNetsBL players held a Christmas party and awarded Fritzie Gonzales of the Aces as the MVP.
Gonzales had 12 players in the finals while Jethro Dejaño topscored with 13 points.
