Mano Amon marathon kicks off December 24

A total of P47,250 in cash prizes will be at stake when the 26th Halad Kang Mano Amon-Danao City Marathon kicks off December 24 in front of the Danao City Hall.
Held annually to celebrate the birthday anniversary of Danao City's strongman, the late Ramon Durano, Sr., the race will have the premier men and women's open, the Danao City residents, executives, and the school category for elementary, secondary and college students.
To add up spice to the event, there will be a cash award of P3,000 for the biggest school delegation.
On the other hand, the best in costume will have P1,000 for the first placer, P750 for the second placer and P500 for the third placer.
The premier men and women's open champion will receive P3,000, the second placer with P2,000 and the third placer with P1,000. The same cash prizes will be received by the winners in the Danao City residents.
The other category winners will get P1,000 for the champion, P750 for the first runner-up and P500 for the second runner-up.
There will be no registration fees to be collected and the registration centers can be found at the Philippine Sports Commission office at the Cebu City Sports Center here in Cebu City and at the Danao City Sports Commission office in Danao City.
