It's show time for Dancesport-Team Cebu City (DTCC) as they try to defend their overall title in the 2006 National Dancesport Championship at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City today.
More than defending their title in this event, DTCC hopes to bounce back after a so-so finish during the DCPI National Mid-ranking when most of their trusted bets competed and reaped top honors in the US.
DTCC head coach Loloi Rendon earlier said, whatever happened in the Mid-ranking, will not happen in the finale.
"Na-demoralize man gud to sila kay wala mi. This time, kampante ko nga makabawi sila and we will be able to defend our title," Rendon said.
A total of 79 dancesporters are in the DTCC list.
The standard D and E class will have the most number of Cebuano entries with nine couples while the special 2-female has six and three in SE 1-female.
DTCC has two entries in standard A namely Jojie and Jonah del Rosario and Richard and Liezel Cania while standard B will have three Cebuano couples, five in the youth A, two each in the junior A and juvenile and one each in the standard C, senior-A and C and youth C.
