USPF Panthers sweep crowns in CESAFI secondary volleyball

The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers sweep the championship titles in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (CESAFI) secondary volleyball tournament yesterday at the University of San Carlos (USC) North Campus volleyball courts.
The Baby Panthers won all their five assignments to rule the men's side as the University of San Jose-Recoletos Baby Jaguars took the silver medal with a 4-1 win-loss card.
The USC Baby Warriors ended with a 3-2 slate for the bronze and Cebu Institute of Technology was fourth (1-4).
In the distaff side, sixth time champion USPF Lady Panthers also maintained a clean 4-0 card to rule the division and USJ-R (3-1) clinched the silver.
The bronze medal winner was USC with a 2-2 slate and University of Cebu was fourth with 1-3.
Meanwhile, John Rey Oponi and Danica Genrauli of USPF were declared the Most Valuable Players in the men and women divisions, respectively. - Correspondent, Marigold P. Lebumfacil
