The Warriors stamped their class against host team University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) in four grueling sets, 25-22, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21.
Today, the Warriors will meet University of Northern Philippines (UNP) of Vigan City still at the NOMPC/ Tomorrow, the CESAFI men's volleyball champion will face an uphill climb against powerhouse De La Salle University-Manila at 2:15 pm at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) covered court.
The University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) Panthers volleybelles, on the other hand, were still going for their second win against the University of Santo Tomas as of this writing last night.
The Panthers will go up against Foundation University of Dumaguete City at 8 am today at the NOMPC. They will go up against Ateneo de Manila University tomorrow at the USLS covered court.
As of this writing, the Warriors were still playing against University of the Philippines-Dilliman (UP-D) still at the Paglaum Field.
The Warriors are bracketed in Group A along with USLS and UP-D.
She will be followed by Ryancel Ledamo, who will compete in the trials of the 400m, and National Open Juniors gold medallist Harren Melendez and Timoteo Margaha III, also in the trials of the 110m hurdles.
The afternoon session will have Melendez and Margaha eyeing to get slots to the finals of the 100m and so with Ledamo and Eugene Delposo in the 800m.
The last event for the team sponsored by Jonathan Guardo of the Guardo Group of Companies will be the finals in the 4x200m relay with Margaha, Ledamo, Melendez and Andy Surbano taking the cudgels for the group.
All members of the USPF track and field team are gold medallists in the 2006 CESAFI season, save for Margaha, who only settled for silver medals in the 100 and 110m hurdles.
