UniGames action begins Monday

The volleyball and football teams of the University of San Carlos (USC) and University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) will kick off the campaign of the Cebu teams in the 11th National University Games in Bacolod City starting Monday.

But the opponents of the USC Warriors and the USPF Panthers are yet to be known today during the technical meeting of all the coaches and tournament directors at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) College covered court.

Also to kick off on Monday starting 8 am are the competitions for basketball and chess.

Athletics, which the Panthers are also joining, will begin its 2-day hostilities on October 25 at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

The football matches will be held in four venues namely USLS, West Negros College (WNC), University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) and Paglaum.

The volleyball games, on the other hand, will be at the USLS College and High School covered courts and multi-purpose gym.

The opening ceremonies will be held Oct. 23 at 6 pm at the USLS Coliseum.
