Cebuano Vince Marc Tabotabo is off to a good start in the Dr. Pablo Olivarez Age-Group and Open Tennis Championships in Parañaque City yesterday.
Tabotabo, a Grade IV pupil of the Tuburan Elementary School under Jesa Isabel Maxilom, posted a convincing, 8-4, first-round win over Willmor Bachelor in the 10-under class.
Tabotabo, who is supported by Vice-Governor Greg Sanchez, their District Superintendent Rosalino Yuson and principal Dona Teotima, hopes to do better in the Parañaque invitational after missing the title in the Milo National Juniors also held in Manila last week.
Another Cebuano, Julius Lagman is also seeing action in the Olivarez Cup, but the result of his game is still unavailable as of presstime.
