Some of Cebu's most seasoned and fast rising bowlers went home with several honors in the just-concluded "Filipino Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) International Invitational Bowling Cup" in Manila.
Alexis Sy, a mainstay of the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA) and a student of Philippine Christian Gospel School, led the cast of Cebuano competitors who emerged victorious.
Sy topped in the ladies masters, beating teammate, Elaine Uy.
But Uy had something else to brag about as she took the second runner-up honors in the all-events.
Aside from that, Sy and Uy lead the Cebuanso to winning the team's title for the female division along with Analily Lao and Girlie Solis.
In the men's side, CIFYA/Prima's Junjun Gothong came out third in the men's singles' event.
Another Cebuano, Jomar Jumapao was seventh in the master's event to add up spice to the Cebuanos' quest.
A total of 37 local teams joined the event along with three teams from Taiwan.
