Vince Castillo and Jayford Culipano waxed hot early to power Ho-Mi Noodles to a strong 30-16 start.
With Jun Ando, Allan Sepe and Oliver Manayon joining the scoring spree, Ho-Mi enjoyed as much as 15 points lead in the next two quarters.
AC Sports, behind the efforts of Jun Dano, Chow Mariano and Jaime Rodriguez, staged a last ditch rally in the closing minutes of the game, but Ho-Mi Noodles hung on tough at crunchtime to secure the win.
Castillo and Sepe topscored for Ho-Mi with 12 points apiece, while Ando, Manayon, Allison, and Culipano each had 10 markers underscoring the team's balanced offensive.
In the other game, former commercial standout Reggie Licanda and Walas Vergara hit crucial baskets in the windup to rally Garfield to a 95-85 conquest of Julie's. Licanda and Vergara finished with 17 points apiece.
