SHS-J grabs first gold in Milo badminton

New comer Sacred Heart School-Jesuit bagged two championship titles in the 11th Milo Little Olympics badminton competition yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Patrick Go and Janel Dihiansan were the heroes for the Hearters as they made a history for giving SHS-J its first championship trophy in the badminton event in the Milo meet.
Go defeated Kenny Genobia of Pulangbato Elementary School, 21-14, 21-17, to claim the gold in the elementary boys singles category.
Ralph Bonsukan and Danbert Bilocura from Banilad got the third place honors.
Dihiansan ruled the distaff side, beating defending champion Bethany Christian School's Sharmaine Josh Li, 21-11, 21-10.
The girls division third placers were CIC's Camile Ceniza and Christine Bolo of St. Benedict.
University of San Jose-Recoletos is eyeing for the championship title in the secondary boys and girls singles category while UV and UC aim for golds in the girls and boys doubles, respectively. - Marigold P. Lebumfacil
