In what could be a big bonus to their successful stint in the United States recently, no less than President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has expressed her congratulations to the members of Dancesport-Team Cebu City.
The country's Chief Executive conveyed her elation on the outstanding achievements of the Cebuano dancesport athletes abroad through Cebu City Councilor Sylvan "Jack" Jakosalem upon her arrival in Cebu yesterday.
"PGMA, with a big smile, said congratulations to TCC dancesport! It's the first thing she said to me at the Mactan airbase when she arrived kanina (yesterday morning)," Jakosalem told The Freeman via text message.
Jakosalem informed Arroyo about DTCC's exemplary feat in the US three weeks ago where the team raked in 67 golds in three competitions held in San Francisco, New York and Las Vegas.
