Batch '74, '90 log first victory in USJ-R high alumni caging

Batch '74, sponsored by Perfect Clean General Services, and Batch '90 registered their first victories in the 1st USJ-R High School Alumni basketball tournament which kicked off last Sunday at the USJ-R gym in Basak.
The Batch '76 defeated Batch '70, which is led by businessman Cesar Lee, 74-57, in the opening game while Batch '90 humbled the younger Batch 2001, 81-75.
There are a total of 12 teams that are seeing action in the inaugural staging of the USJ-R high school alumni basketball tournament led by Dr. Bill Jaca as president. The tournament chairman is Edwin Trazo. Games are held only during Sundays.
Dicksim Kintanar, led Batch '76 with 16 points while Jun Saberon followed with 15 points. It was Dodong Quilab who topscored for the losing Batch '70 also with 16 points even as Lee contributed six points. Saberon is the Batch '76 team representative while Lee represents Batch '70. The four-man officials of the tournament were also ex-Jaguars namely Argiel Magan, Lando Tabalin, Paul Cañete and Rico Archival.
