The Aboitiz-CebuFA Boys-18 Cup resumes this morning with the University of Cebu squad hoping to overtake Hiroshi Football Club in the leaderboard when they take on the University of San Carlos squad at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Both UC and USC won their first assignments in convincing fashion.
Led by coach Glenn Ramos, UC currently stands at second place with three points and nine in goal difference, while USC also has three points but got the third spot with only five points in goal difference.
Hiroshi Football Club perched atop the leaderboard with a clean 2-0 win-loss slate anchored on back-to-back wins over San Roque, 6-0, and Don Bosco, 5-1.
Don Bosco Boys Home and San Roque FC, hope to bounce back from defeat as they face against each other today.
The champion in the tournament will earn the right to represent Cebu in the Visayas Championships slated this October in Bacolod.
The Visayas champion will then proceed to the National Men's Under-19 Finals in Zamboanga sometime in November.
