- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -
Dancesport-Team Cebu City carted away six more gold medals yesterday to wrap up yet another successful campaign in the US, ending the tournament with 24 gold medals, including four silvers and a bronze in the 2006 Empire State Dancesport Championships at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manhattan, New York.

The 24-gold medal haul of the Cebuanos in New York was a big improvement from their performance in San Francisco, where they danced away with 20 gold, one silver and two bronze medals.

Couple Jojie and Jonah del Rosario again made waves as they won two more gold medals, dominating in the Amateur International Standard Open and International Standard Pre-Amateur championships

Lowel Bernados and Jeanen Bergado added two gold medals as they ruled in the international standard gold-tango and jive. They also had a silver in the international standard pre-championships.

With one gold medal each are Genice Marquez and Charles Lagaras in the future professional championships and Jimmy Noel and Karla Fornolles in the international latin pre-amateur.

A silver medal was also won by Loloi Rendon and Eleanor Hayco in the Senior International Standard, which features five dances.

The next stop for the Cebuanos is Las Vegas.
