UC/Crown Paddle dominates E-Mall table tennis tournament

The University of Cebu/Crown Paddle Team B's Jay Eribert Impuesto and Benedict Gantuangko took the champion title in the Boys doubles 20-under category over top seed UC/Crown Paddle Team A's Michael Motel and Glendo Nayre in the E-Mall Table Tennis Sports Challenge yesterday at the E-Mall Activity Center.
Impuesto and Gantuangko of Crown Paddle B showed impressive teamwork as they won, 3-1, over John Conrad Impuesto and Jonathan Jacalan in the championship bout.
On the other hand, top seeded Motel and Nayre lost its hope to reach the championship game when they lost against the underdog, UC/Crown Paddle Team C of Impuesto and Jacalan in their fight for third place title.
An identical result also happened in the Girls Doubles 20-under when the seeded Motel siblings, Mary Grace and Mary Evangelie of UC/Crown Paddle Team A only got the third place after being defeated by Syvil Joren and Jennifer Jacalan of UC/Crown Paddle Team C.
Joren and Jacalan of Crown Paddle C took the crown via a 3-0 decision the Ba-ay siblings, Cherry Mae and Ma. Christina, of UC/Crown Paddle B,
In the boys doubles 14-under, UC/Crown Paddle Team A's Jhinno Angelo Selma and Geoffrey Apas, got the championship title over UC/Crown Paddle B's Dannel Jay Tormis and John Paul Christopher Ba-ay, 3-1. UC/Crown Paddle C, Jean Philippe Jawad Honoridez and Darbet Theophilus Tripoli, settled for the third place.
Mary Angelie Motel and Candy Babalcon of UC/Crown Paddle Team A, got the first place in the Girls doubles 14-under division over Elonna Dane Tormis and Girly Apas of UC/Crown Paddle B, 3-2.
In the Men's Team Event, the Motel brothers and Nayre of UC/ Crown Paddle A got the championship crown, with a 3-0 standing against UC/Crown Paddle B's Impuesto, Jacalan and Gantuangko.
I-Care Eyewear's William and Handel Yap, Jason Cabahug, Joseph Ling and Edward Godinez settled for third place as they defeated USC-A's Jefferey Padernal, Wendel Zamora and Evan Ramos, 3-2.
